The paper is made by a charity in rural Rajasthan that promotes women's education and their social standing in local villages. There's a range of gorgeous colours available – and, because this is a handmade product, each notebook is unique.

Fyne Herbs Butterfly Bonanza Herb Collection £45
Instead of sending flowers – which are often grown abroad, packaged in plastic, have a high carbon footprint, and last just a couple of weeks – send herbs. For about the same price as a flower bouquet, you can send a selection of fragrant herbs that will give months (or even years) of pleasure. Fyne Herbs offers a range of different collections – we love this Butterfly Bonanza set, with nature-friendly plants that have been carefully selected to attract butterflies to your garden, patio or balcony. There are six generously sized, strong and healthy plants in the set: lavender, rosemary, chamomile, oregano, marjoram and dill. Each plant comes with a unique and attractive biodegradable pot, which is suitable for indoor or outdoor use. The gift arrives beautifully packaged in a sturdy, attractive box – and includes sustainable bamboo plant labels and a set of herb snippers, as well as a well-written, informative guide to herb growing. There's also a Mother's Day collection available. A stunning, eco-friendly gift that's highly recommended!

Fussy deodorant is an excellent alternative to single-use plastic deodorant containers, billions of which are thrown away each year. Each starter pack comes with a colourful, reusable case – made from recycled plastic, it's durable and designed to last a lifetime, and there are lots of colours available – and a scented or unscented refill in a compostable container. This deodorant is highly effective, neutralising the bacteria that cause odours, and keeping you feeling fresh all day. There are 12 different scents available (as well as an unscented version) – all use the same effective, natural formula. We tried Coconut Milk, a lightly-scented tropical blend of coconut, almond and vanilla. It smells fantastic, and glides on smoothly – without leaving white marks on clothing. Fussy is a B Corp company. The deodorant is certified carbon neutral, and each product sold supports green energy projects around the world.

This big bar of soap lasts for ages, and holds its shape well without going mushy. Dr Bronner's was founded in 1948, and is a certified B Corp company producing socially and environmentally responsible products.
