Peak District bog scientists take home national award
A new bag from Creature Candy is set to raise much-needed funds for Greenfingers – a charity that creates gardens for children in hospices, and provides places for them to spend time with their loved ones throughout their illnesses.
A crowdfunding campaign has been set up to help launch the Creature Candy 'Love Nature' tote bag, with the target of raising £1,200 – or selling 60 bags – by Wednesday 25 October.
Creature Candy is a homewares and gifts company that raises awareness of Britain's declining wildlife and generates funds for the charities that work tirelessly to conserve such wildlife. The company has also made a step towards supporting children's charities, particularly those that help children connect with nature.
The Creature Candy 'Love Nature' tote bag is available in green and grey, and 10% of the sale price of every bag will be donated to Greenfingers.
Visitors to the crowdfunding page will find lots of great rewards in return for their support – including discounted and free Creature Candy products, all of which raise money for wildlife and children's charities.
"By supporting Creature Candy you will not only be contributing to the funds desperately needed by Greenfingers, you will also be supporting a small business that dedicates its time to raising awareness of Britain's declining wildlife species, and raising funds for British wildlife charities – including Bat Conservation Trust, Bumblebee Conservation Trust and People's Trust for Endangered Species," said Lizzie Barker, founder and director of Creature Candy.
Creature Candy is supported by TV presenters and naturalists Chris Packham (pictured above) and Nick Baker.
